Chicken Couscous

This is a great comfort food and takes minimal effort.  You’ll love how the cumin and cinnamon complement each other.

15 oz can garbanzo beans/chick peas

1 15 oz can chicken broth

2 tbsp olive oil

1 16 oz pkg couscous

1 lb chicken cut up

½ onion

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp cinnamon

 

Cook couscous as directed, using chicken broth and oil instead of water. Add spices.  Stir in garbanzo beans. Saute chicken in skillet, cut into 1 “ pieces.  Stir in chicken and simmer 5 minutes being careful to not burn.  Serve when hot.
